Camilla Cavendish is an award-winning journalist and former Head of the Policy Unit in 10 Downing Street under Prime Minister David Cameron. She is currently a Senior Fellow at the Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government at the Harvard Kennedy School, and she now sits in the House of Lords as an independent peer.

Camilla is the author of the UK government's sugar tax legislation. She was a Non-Executive Director of the Care Quality Commission, the hospital and care home regulator, and wrote the independent Cavendish Review of nursing. She is chair of Frontline, a non-profit organisation which recruits top graduates into social work. Camilla writes the prominent weekly op-ed column in the Financial Times, commenting on UK and international issues. She is also Contributing Editor to the Financial Times and is an occasional contributor to the Sunday Times where she was Assistant Editor. As a Times columnist and writer she won the Paul Foot award for investigative journalism, Campaigning Journalist of the Year and Wincott Senior Financial Journalist.
