Ed graduated at the top of his year in Music at Cambridge University before founding Jukedeck, the world’s first AI music company, in 2010. ByteDance acquired Jukedeck in 2019, where Ed went on to lead the AI music lab and manage Product in Europe for TikTok, playing a key role in refining its renowned AI recommendation algorithm. At Snapchat, he served as Chief Product Officer for Voisey. Recently, as Vice President of Audio at Stability AI, he focused on generative AI innovation until stepping down in 2024. Now, Ed leads "Fairly Trained," a nonprofit advocating for ethical AI practices and promoting certification programs to encourage responsible data usage in AI. His expertise and ethical stance have earned him recognition as one of Sifted’s top 20 generative AI ‘power players’ in Europe.
