Graeme Leach is CEO & Chief Economist of Macronomics, a research consultancy focused on macroeconomics, geopolitics and future megatrends. He is also a Visiting Professor of Economic Policy at the University of Lincoln, a Senior Fellow at the Legatum Institute, and a member of the IEA Shadow Monetary Policy Committee—an influential group of UK macroeconomists offering independent analysis of the Bank of England’s decisions.

Previously, Graeme was Chief Economist and Director of Policy at the Institute of Directors, where he represented over 30,000 business leaders in discussions with government, including the Chancellor of the Exchequer and 10 Downing Street. Earlier roles included Chief UK Economist and Chief International Economist at The Henley Centre for Forecasting, and Economic Adviser at the Scottish Provident Investment Group. A regular commentator, Graeme has participated in more than 150 live TV and radio interviews for BBC News, Sky News, CNBC, CNN, and BBC Radio 4. He has contributed articles to The Times and The Daily Telegraph and for over a decade wrote a weekly column in City AM.
