Sir Howard Davies is an influential economist, having held significant and esteemed positions in his field including Deputy Governor at the Bank of England from 1995 to 1997. His professional journey also encompassed leadership as the first Executive Chairman of the Financial Services Authority, followed by his directorship at the London School of Economics and Political Science. In 2011 he was appointed Chairman of the UK Airports Commission and the Phoenix Group. In 2015 he joined the NatWest Group which was formerly known as The Royal Bank of Scotland. He currently also teaches master's courses on financial regulation and central banking at the Paris School of International Affairs and is Chairman of the International Advisory Council of the China Securities Regulatory Commission.
