Iwan Thomas is without doubt one of the finest 400m runners that Britain has ever seen and held the British 400m record for an impressive 25 years. Iwan is also passionate about motorcycling and co-hosts the motorbike podcast Full Chat. Since retiring, Iwan has become a regular TV presenter and sports commentator, bringing his expertise and charisma to screens worldwide.

Iwan began his athletics career in 1992, representing the British 4x400m relay team at the World Junior Championships. At just 22, he reached the 400m final and secured a silver medal in the 4x400m relay. In 1997, he cemented his legacy by winning his first UK Championship title and setting a British 400m record of 44.36 seconds, a record that stood for an incredible 25 years until 2022. In his media career, Iwan has become a prominent figure, contributing as a pundit for Eurosport during the Paris 2024 Olympics. Over the years, he has presented various programs, including Channel 4’s Bafta award-winning Paralympics coverage, The One Show on BBC, BT Sport’s MotoGP, and the BBC series Superstars.
