Max Calderan, famously known as the "Son of the Desert," is an Italian adventurer celebrated for his remarkable desert expeditions and impactful motivational speaking. He has achieved 14 world records in extreme desert exploration, including his historic solo traversal of Saudi Arabia's Rub' al Khali—the largest sand desert on Earth—in February 2020. This monumental journey established the "Calderan Line," now recognised on global maps and certified by Google Maps as a historical landmark.

In addition to his exploration accomplishments, Calderan is a recognised authority on desertification and climate change. He actively contributes to environmental preservation efforts, particularly in the Middle East, with initiatives like the "Desert Greening Middle East Vision 2039," which emphasises sustainable forest management and regreening practices. Recently, Max has been organising events and workshops focused on environmental education and personal growth. Among his notable contributions is serving as Race Director for the "EQRun Exploration 2024," an event in the Empty Quarter Desert that highlights his dedication to both desert exploration and environmental advocacy.
