Simon Brodkin is a British comedian, writer, and prankster best known for his outrageous stunts, viral social media presence, and transition into stand-up comedy under his own name. In Detail
His television success also extended to other comedic personas, including the satirical footballer Jason Bent and flamboyant rapper Dr. Bob. Beyond scripted comedy, he became internationally known for his daring public pranks: he interrupted a FIFA press conference, showering then-President Sepp Blatter with fake banknotes in a stunt, he crashed UK Prime Minister Theresa May’s Conservative Party Conference speech, handing her a P45 dismissal form, he also infiltrated a Donald Trump golf event, displaying pro-refugee messages in protest. These audacious stunts earned him the title of “the world’s most famous blagger”. In 2019, Brodkin took a major turn in his career, stepping away from characters to perform under his real name. His debut stand-up show, “100% Simon Brodkin”, was a sell-out success at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He followed up with his “Troublemaker” tour in 2021–2022, further cementing his place as one of the UK’s top live performers.
